The United States - After living in France and writing three books about France and the French language, Nadeau and Barlow have turned their sights back to North America. In 2009 Julie Barlow won a Fulbright Scholars h i p at Arizona State University. The couple packed up the kids, bought an RV, and headed toward Phoenix Arizona to spend 2010 in the sun. They are presently based in Tempe, Arizona (in a house, not an RV park!) where they are working on two book projects, one on Spanish, and one on the United States.  With it's large hispanic population, the Phoenix area promises to be fertile territory for discoveries.

Conference in Iqaluit - February 8-12, 2010, Jean-Benoît has been invited by the government of Nunavut to talk about the French language at a conference on Canada's official languages in Izaliuit. While getting an introduction to Inuktitut -- the majority language of the Inuit -- Jean-Benoît is hoping to put his recently acquired snowmo biling skills to use exploring the countryside. Luckily he brought his mocassins and anorak with him to Arizona.
